I was intrigued by this book as soon as I read the description. A lawyer who didn't follow the "traditional" path to become I lawyer. It spoke volumes to me in more ways than I can express.
I did not follow the "traditional" path to law school. I did not go to law school right after undergrad. No one in my family is a lawyer, a judge, or even in the legal field. I worked for a decade and started a family before I went to law school. My son had just turned one (1) when I started law school. I worked full time and went to law school in the evening. Thankfully, my husband was completely supportive the whole time and continues to be supportive.
Law school is not easy. Having a family is not easy. Working full time is not easy. Doing it all at the same time is not easy.
I am strong. I am committed. I made it through law school. I worked really hard to do that, and I am proud that I did. I continue to work really hard for my dreams.
