The peak of the radiant Lyrids meteor shower!
The peak of the radiant Lyrids Meteor shower is expected to be on the night of April 21 into the early hours of April 22. The shower is named after the constellation Lyra, which is near the bright star Vega, and close the the Hercules constellation. The Lyrids are mostly visible in the Northern Hemisphere, but may also be visible in the Southern Hemisphere. So as we gaze at the stars in both hemispheres, we should continue to reach for our stars and our dreams.
As Lyra represents the lyre that the legendary musician Orpheus played, and Hercules is a figure known for his strength and heroic feats, we should all find the music and strength that inspires us to go after our dreams. As I find new music and strength to continue to pursue my dreams, I am excited to announce that I will be doing a series of events and speaking engagements this year with the Pacific Northwest Writers Association ("PNWA").
